Vestibular Rehabilitation
Picture
The vestibular system is responsible for providing an individual with information regarding balance and eye movements.  The vestibular system may experience dysfunction due to bio-mechanics factors, viral/bacterial infections or trauma (whiplash, concussion).  Symptoms that can be related to the vestibular system include vertigo (dizziness), feeling imbalanced and migraines.

At your appointment we will conduct a vestibular assessment which includes a detailed history of symptoms as well as a physical assessment.
The physical portion of a vestibular assessment is to determine specific positions or movements that provoke symptoms described by the individual.  We will will identify problems with your neck motion, visual stability and your gait (how you walk).

The number of treatments required will vary depending on the type of vestibular dysfunction.

**Provided in our Montague location ONLY with Brent MacAdam, PT**
